| Wow, its so hard to read these comments, i miss you all sooo much. we just got back from a 4 day weekend trip to Erfurt, Dresden, Weimar and Leipzig. i am tired but not too tired. we stayed in a jungenherburger, or youth hostal which is a castile turned into a hotel for kids and teens. we would travel each day to different cities. first erfurt. vitited the cathedral, walked around had amazing ice cream.. laura you would come to germany just for their ice cream.... lecker... than we went to the youth hostal. next Dresden... more pretty than the pictures although it was sooo hot that i could not really enjoy it as much as i would have liked too. i prayed that it would rain because it was sooo hot, and guess what!? IT RAINED!!!! believe it! than we went for a hike in the hilly burgses... mountains... OH MAN it was amazing and sooo beautiful...God is an Artist!! and than guess what happended!? IT RAINED AGAIN!!!! happy Dayz! hmmmmm oh and than back to the hotel. next too... Weimar... beautiful little town.... walked around, got food, ummm went into Bauhaus museam and met some american students form minisote i believe... bought a gift .. before that we went to a book shop and bought our teacher (we as in martina, and andy and myself) and i got a new mini new vocab book because mine disappeared. i got some other notebook and an adgended in german for next year. afterwards we went to see a modern german version of romeo and juliet (julia). oh my giddy trousers... there were so many references to sex in that play, and yeah... no more... soooo today, leipzig... boring tours and only two hours for shopping.... got one cd... drat... now i am home and have to go..!
<3 to all!!! | | |

| Hey Everyone!!
I am now home and have loads to tell... first on friday, big change, i am no longer a red head.. awwwwee i know you are all sad about that...
second on monday, i went we/ the Germans down to st louis and we stopped in springfield and got a tour of the capital it was interesting but boring, and than we got to see and Idian mound reservation.
then on tuesday we went to st louis and we went on a tour of the mississippi river on this cute boat. it was sooo windy. also we went to the old union train station which was remade into a mall, it was awesome because i found this store with records for $5 and i got the scorpians. also there was this chair there that could tell you what kind of person you are, if your "hot stuff" (amelia got that) if your sexy (that was andy) i got lovable... which i think suits me just fine. also we went up in the st louis arch and we went up in these little pods and johanna was so scare because of the small space she jumped out twice. i told here to relax and i pray over her (she didn't relize it) and she was able to relax, Yeah God! we than had dinner at the spagetti factory.
than on Wednesday we went on a tour of the under ground railroad in Alton... and there was this statue of the tallest man in the world who died at age of 22 because of a gland disorder at a height of 8'11" it was soo neat to see a live size statue. than we had lunch at this cute restaunt we found. of course i was one of only three americans who actually hung out w/ the German students... and i was the only one who could understand what they were talking about! yEAh Me!! than we saw the lewis and clark fort and museam. it was ok.. than it rained. we had dinner at this american mexican place. than Mr. Smith (my german teachers husband) took andy, kyle and me to this music store that had records and i bought two pat benatar albums, Duran Duran's first album and the Ramones. it was sweet.
on Thursday, we left for the airport.. it was hard saying goodbye, but i don't think of it as goodbye but "c ya later" two months later. i didn't start to cry till i got on the bus and saw them standing there. i am so happy i got to know each of the germans very well and they all gave me hugs and wanted me to come w/ them. i wanted to .. i am really going to miss monika.... a lot! i can't wait till i go to germany this summer!!! Thank you God for this chance!! | | |
